Thanks everybody for your thoughts on this subject. For now I have upgraded my portable headphones to a Beyerdynamic T51p, which sounds great (first impression). I won't be looking into an E12 for now, but might give it a testdrive when I can get my paws on it in a store or from a friend.

Thanks Charlie! Sounds good. I haven't head any problems with my X3 (FW3.0) with 32Gb Sandisk so far, so I guess moving to a 64Gb Sandisk will be fine too.

Just ordered a Sandisk 64GB microSD card myself (to replace my 32Gb card)   Did you experience any problems so far? Would love to hear that everything works flawlessly. ;)

I like the new firmware. However: still no support for playlists? This was the one thing I really really missed on my X3... and I suppose I will have to move on without them. Or...?
