Another nuisance with the Sony Walkman NWZ-A17 is the proprietary cable, for charging it.   So if i drop my requirement of an FM tuner, can the xDuoo X3 be also a good option, as an inexpensive hi-res player ?

OK, so i'm about to give in and buy a Sony NWZ-A17. Mainly because of the FM tuner option, but also it seems lighter carry and possible more battery life than say a Fiio X3 or a used Fiio X5 that could be in the same price range. But i'm still afraid of doing an error by not going with an X3 or...

It worked! I forced iTunes to run another iTunes Match scan, and then it picked up and matched all songs of the album. Mysterious...

I'm in the same boat as you... with the same questions. I just downloaded my 1st HDtracks album (Eagles - Hotel California) and it is in ALAC 24bit/96khz. And i have iTunes Match that is saying this is "ineligible" for the service ... Did you find an answer to this problem ?
