adding an amp to the zen does IMPROVE the sound dramatically. i really don't like listening to my zen anymore without my supermini (despite the bulk), it really has spoiled me.

hu$tler, you definitley want to roll with the zen because its cheaper, the eq is more flexable and the headphone out bangs, do yourself a favor and get a pair of porta pro's or better yet px-200 cuz the bass knocks. If you got the paper, get a supermini or micro amp and its like you got your own...

i once ordered a car stereo from them about a year back and they (etronics) delivered the correct merchandise at the advertised price. i saved over $200 vs what they (best buy) wanted for the exact same unit locally.

i find that the px-200's bass more than enough with the proper amp. i could not recommend a better portable headphone for under $200 (usd).
