Left earphone is the master earphone, right the slave. Only left earphone is communicating with the phone, right earphone is only getting whatever is being fed by the left earphone, it is useless without the left earphone. Try docking the left earphone, the right earphone instantly stop playing...

Is there ANC on the E8? I went through the product page and found some reference to "transparent mode", I am guessing that is what they call ANC? If so, how well does it work? I used to own the BeoPlay H9 and the ANC on it was almost non-existent, if these are better I might be tempted to have...

Yup, it’s different between YouTube and Netflix. There is a slight audio lag on YouTube but not on Netflix.

Just received mine, was debating whether to go for the B&W PX or these, ended up with these since I wanted something in a smaller package. Anyway, I tried them on the commute home just now and I felt that the ANC was surprisingly good, almost as good as my QC35 I think? I cannot hear the noise...

I also think that the sound quality of P7 Wireless is noticeably better than the 1000x from my time owning both of them. I returned the 1000x about 2 weeks after receiving them and bought the QC35 for travelling use instead, mainly because the 1000x I received had a creaky left headband barely...
