Biggest hard drive for Ipod Video 5.5G
Just comparing the listed dimensions of the two drives to the MK1011GAH (100GB) drive offered as a replacement by a few sites would suggest that either of them would fit, considering dimensions alone. Benchmark DAC1 Usb Cpu Usage & can it drive sennheiser hd600 well?
I'm actually planning on setting up a very similar system: Vista -> M-Audio Transit USB -> DAC1 -> HD650, so its encouraging to hear some success stories To the OP, are you thinking about running the HD600s balanced? and on that, would it even be possible without an amp?- Serratus

Trying to get bit-perfect playback (Foobar2000 & ASIO)
Alright, now i got the DTS tracks to play by changing the .wav extensions to .dts, but i found another complication: Foobar is sending out the proper 6 channel, 44.1KHz stream, but only two channels are coming through either the speakers or the headphones. And the Z-5500 is still displaying...- Serratus

PM sent. Thanks EnOYiN. I might actually have another issue with upsampling somewhere along the line, as the Z-5500 displays 48KHz instead of 44.1KHz when the files are supposedly working through Windows Media Player. But i'll test out the fix with Foobar first. Cheers- Serratus

I've done the homework, but it seems i've failed the test.. I’ve spent the last few hours trying to get bit-perfect playback from my PC, without any external amps or DACs (just setting out on the audiophile adventure…).
