Living in Boston?
Thanks for the suggestions. I got the job and will be moving to Boston in a few months. I won't have a car, at least for the first few years. I'd like to get a place that's close to the Framingham commuter rail line, since that's what I'll be taking to work. What's Fenway like as far as...- Serow

Actuation Force for a Switch
That's approximately the force exerted by something that weighs a pound. Not exactly a light touch, I would say. I'd guess it would be something like the buttons on a credit-card remote.- Serow

Living in Boston?
Thanks guys. I'm interviewing with MathWorks, who make the scientific software MATLAB. I have a feeling I'll be looking at something like $1000 a month for rent in a decent, safe place. Murdoch, do you have any idea what the scene/life in Natick itself is like? I think I'd prefer a short...- Serow

Hip hop similar to Outkast?
Do you guys have any recommendations for hip hop artists in a style similar to Outkast? By this I mean funky, high-energy, etc. Thanks. -

The first Op-Amp !
I saw these at my University a few years ago, but never paid attention to them. Here's me with a K2-W, K2-XA and two others: Here's a closeup: Here's an old IBM memory core; thousands of tiny toroid magnets with four wires through each. Can you imagine threading all those fine...- Serow
