Just my two cents, to me, I feel like the ue9000 is rather versatile, as in passive mode with the cable the entire range sounds close to flat-ish with a small hump in the bass region and somewhat recessed highs; the headphones sound rather good for movies, lindsey stirling type of music, or just...

For reference, he uses an ipod so a headphone that can be easily driven would be preferable; his ipod is loaded with Timbaland, Chamillionaire, and Ludacris.
