Can This Be Done???
How about a new fiberglass backplate for the iPod, with a hump to fit the amp in it? Remove the amp from its case and mold the backplate around it so it becomes 'one' with the iPod.- seldom_used

I've made a Cmoy to use with my Rio Karma. Since it has no line-out except through the dock, I had to think outside the box. It's a weird-looking device but I had to try it. I haven't seen any successful attempts to use Karma's line out in a portable setup. Normally the dock looks like this:- seldom_used

A low hum in Cmoy (solved)
Alright, I lowered gain from 6 to 3 and poof! most of the hum has disappeared. I didn't try the R5 fix yet because a) this is quite satisfactory and b) don't have anything in the 10-100 ohm range. I did lower it further to 2, but there was no improvement. It's at a level where sitting in a...- seldom_used

A low hum in Cmoy (solved)
Hey, after reading a lot on head-fi I gave my Karma a present - a Cmoy built as per Tangent's tutorial, used an OPA2132P and a gain of 6. It sounds great except there is a faint but noticeable hum in my Ety ER-6i whenever the amp is on. It doesn't change with volume, at sane levels at least...- seldom_used

i have a chance to buy a new karma... should i?
I've had a Karma for a year, got it used off *bay. It does need to be reset with a pin every once in a while, especially if you handle it rough. If you don't shake it very much it should not hang. I had to 'hit' my Karma a couple of times when the reset button didn't help as discussed in...- seldom_used

Yay, my first diy amp and the first post here, too. This thread is infectious! A $0 Cmoy, made entirely from parts that were kicking around. I took the schematic from tangentsoft's tutorial, my dad actually did most of the soldering. I added a led, switch, battery leads, and cased it up of...- seldom_used
