My Sony MDR-V6 review (EXTREMELY long!)

Im just wondering why the review of these seems to be so harsh, as they have been used for years in studios, and on radio, mixing, sound editing, etc. it seems very strange that such a commonly used headphone can have so much sibilance and sharpness?

My Sony MDR-V6 review (EXTREMELY long!)

i know this is old, but would you mind doing this test with a pair of ath m50s? I am questioning the sound integrity of mine. I paid 65 , but feel like they are very clearly worth it. I want to see how you address their high and low points.

Is the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 really the best headphone all over the world?

I know this is an old thread, butp people will be reading this in the future. My ath m50s are hands down the best value for the price. Because I paid 65 new from a friend ;) but the sound signature youre talking about reminds me of the sony xb 500 and xb series.

Audio Technica ATH-M50 vs. Sony MDR-V6

I am using the ATH m50 Reds right now, and I'm actually wondering if I should by the sony mdr v6's. One thing I can say is that the Sony's definitely have a bigger frequency response. This is all from memory, and correct me if Im wrong. The frequency response of the Sony's is from 5hz-30khz. In...

JVC HA S500 vs Sony MDR V55

I haven't had jvc or the sony's you're talking about. However the headphones I have had from sonny are the mdr xb400s, which I highly recommend. very comfy unless you're super sweaty. Good bass, pretty clear. For the price range, under 60 bucks online, there's the sony xb series.

    Advice for a Noob (ATH-M50 +Amp)

I have had multiple headphones. Koss porta pro dj are great, enjoyed the shure and sony xb. I'm researching amps to use on ath m50 right now. for my personal preference I like the m50s, I loved them before I knew how popular they were. they're on my head right now and I got them for 65 bucks new...

A Concise View of Why The ATH-M50 is No Longer King

I agree with most of this. But I paid for the limited edition red version brand new at a local pawn shop. for 65 DOLLARS. so I love these because of their price point. They're great for all around stuff. are they my number one choice? Not always. but for what I paid I couldn't be happier. these...

Is the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 really the best headphone all over the world?

By the mids sounding lower I meant that they can be recessed at times.

Is the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 really the best headphone all over the world?

I am using the limited edition red ones as I type this. They are my personal favorite because they're easy to use when mobile for an ipod or phone, but also great in the studio. I feel that the bass is very smooth, and the treble doesn't seem sharp to me. The mids can sound a little bit lower...
