    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

    Thanks jcoops16 but custom-cable.co.uk does not seem to have it in stock. I've mailed them though to make it clear.   Amazon is fine if somewhere in Europe otherwise it gets stuck in Swedish customs (from US). amazon.co.uk say they cannot ship to Sweden... :(

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

    Anyone knows where to buy this in Europe (for VAT reasons) and have it shipped within Europe (to Sweden)? amazon.co.uk says they can't deliver to Sweden and the Swedish distributors do not yet have it. Any advice appreciated, the Mojo looks so nice that I can't wait... :)

    Little Dot now have audition room in Beijing!

    I currently live in Beijing and mailed David at LittleDot about auditioning and buying their products. He told me they just opened an audition room. In case you visit Beijing you can check out all their products in one place. Note though that you would still have to buy them directly...

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    Ok, thanks for your input. I will know more about my preferences in a week or so when the Predator arrives (I'm tracking the package! ). I tend to prefer reproduction that is somewhere between neutral and "warm" in its character.

    Macbook Pro->external soundcard/DAC?->"cans"?

    I'm happy with the Sennheiser HD595's. Very "lively" sound. Mine improved quite a lot after 20-30 hours of listening; before that I felt they were "screaming" to much and didn't hold the complete "notes" in the higher frequencies. So don't judge them too soon. Some posters claim they need no...

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    Thanks for your input Bones... Sounds a little scary if Ray's sound is coloured since I'm shipping this to Europe. Sure hope it will not be too coloured for my taste. Anyway, I currently listen through the stock DAC and jack on the MBPro so I expect almost anything to be a BIG step up.

    E-MU 0404 USB limited with MacBook?

    I thought I could buy my own SACDs and rip the full bitstream but I guess they might be DRMed.

    E-MU 0404 USB limited with MacBook?

    I don't know what a SACD would mean for SQ since I have never listened to one. My impression is that SACD are sampled at 192khz so with my MacBook and E-MU 0404 usb I would not be able to try... Funny enough it seems the 0202 usb does not have the same limitation: "Premium...

    E-MU 0404 USB limited with MacBook?

    On the E-MU page for 0404 USB it says: "Premium 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A converters* ... * Macintosh analog operation up to 96kHz and digital operation up to 48kHz only at this time." Does this limit the SQ in practice when running on a Mac? Should not be a limitation unless playing...

    E-MU 0404 USB OR Zero DAC

    What would give me best SQ unamped, the E-MU 0404 USB or the Zero DAC? They seem to be roughly the same price. Lots of more niceties on the E-MU that I might use in the future but I would not like to get a lower SQ for them... I listen to Jazz, Classical and some Pop/Rock, with Sennheiser...

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    What kind of upgrade on the Zero are you referring to? Not so easy to understand the many different Zero DAC offerings available on ebay... Can I safely buy on ebay and have them ship to Europe?

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    A good desktop system is a higher prio. Portability would just be a bonus. I mainly listen at home.

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    <$500 would feel sensible. >$1000 I would probably feel fooled. I'm listening to a lot of Jazz, some Classical, but also some rock/pop/contemporary. I have a lot of music ripped with EAC and encoded with -alt-preset extreme. Nowadays I try to stay with EAC+FLAC on the computer and then...

    MacBook Pro -> WHAT -> HD595

    Ok, recently bought Sennheiser HD595 and are hooking them up to my MacBook Pro (MBP). I'm happy with the combo (compared to older and simpler Sennheisers) so far but I have money to spend on better gear. Any recommendations? I guess I have these main alternatives: 1. MBP USB -> USB DAC...
