Philips Fidelio X2?!
At least if this is something that can be corrected with an EQ i could be fine with it, problem tho, is the shipping fees being 1/2 of the product price to be shipped in france.. I got those shure pads, the size was way too small for me, it became an on-ear instead of over-ear, not comfortable...- Rantanplan

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I would love to have replacement pads that are very close to the original ones, the dekonies don't look that great. Since my original pads are in no way functional anymore i can't compare with my current pair so i dunno in the end if i would rather prefer the original sound or my current one.- Rantanplan

You can find youtube videos recorded using the different virtualization technique to differentiate them and pick the one you like the most. Listen to them in regular stereo mode. Theres also the ones from HeSuVi, i tried them all, still since it didn't came close to my original dolby headphones...- Rantanplan

Philips Fidelio X2 vs Shure SRH1540... Anyone compared them?
I've tried the integrated DT:S headphones:X in Elite Dangerous (only game i have that offers its own virtualization), it is way inferior to the virtualization offered by Dolby Headphone, so i wouldn't assume that any code in a game or any kind of integration would be superior. It only has the...- Rantanplan

The games don't have to be designed for it, but if you want more accurate positioning for games and movies, you should switch to 5.1 or 7.1 and dolby access should downmix it to stereo surround but now the added channels will translate in better overall surround experience. I have it enabled...- Rantanplan

Philips Fidelio X2 vs Shure SRH1540... Anyone compared them?
I gave it a try to test the original dolby headphones profiles (DH1-DH2-DH3) and the ones in HeSuVi and it didn't sound even close to the original, a major downgrade, i guess its better than nothing but in my opinion i expect also the other original tech to sound better than the emulated version...- Rantanplan

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I'm rocking a pair of aftermarket chinese inexpensive velvet pads, thinner by 10mm so they change the sound quite a bit, but believe it or not they are even more comfy and soft than the stock ones - Rantanplan
