    Neumann NDH 30

Maybe I should be more specific of this statement about sonic realism. I meant that the NDH 30 realistically reproduce the sound of amplified instruments (hence the example of an electric guitar, bass and the note about singing closer and further from the microphone). In the case of toms, I was...

I'm glad too ;). About the comparison with 650 I can't say anything. I was comparing the Neumanns only with moded 600's. Thanks so much for the answer about the headband. I'm going to try it in about two weeks. That's great news!

    Neumann NDH 30

Recently, however, I found a place in my collection and a proper enviroment for the NDH 30. I don't know if my head and ears got used to them or maybe the headphones needed a little more time to warm up? It's hard for me to say this definitively. Anyway, about listening to the classical stuff...

@kman1211 - what cable did you use for Senns? I would be highly intersted in it! @FritzS - sure my pleasure. Here you can buy Anaklasis as individual track: https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/8006617--penderecki-fonogrammi-partita-horn-concerto And same thing here with...

I fully agree. I loved HD 600 with Feliks Elise, but this purchase has to wait for another year. My setup now is quite simple: Sony 202 ES CDP + Audioquest Mackenzie interconnects + Lehmannaudio Linear II. Thanks so much for the hint about the silver cable!

    Neumann NDH 30

I spent a few hours with the NDH 30 and I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, what was announced has been achieved. These headphones sound in a way that can be compared to the sound of studio monitors, and in the entire frequency spectrum (that I can hear, i.e. up to 17 kHz) they sound very...

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus coming?

I had a chance for a brief listening today. The build quality impressed me - solid and comfortable, light... I love it. When it comes to sound I appreciate the idea of exchangable pads - having that kind of choice is great. From those two I prefer the mixing ones - on the producers, the 1K area...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

ZMF suede clears the overall sound, adds energy to the highs, backs off the midrange a little, and makes the bass tighter. For me it's to bright, but looks like something you would be happy with!

    Neumann NDH 30

Thanks, @Resolve & @TaronL for the answer. I still think that many people are waiting for the review of NDH 30 (especially yours and DMS's thoughts would be appreciated). The black version of it is something I would call "new" still.

    That's interesting point.

    Neumann NDH 30

I don't get it. DMS & Golden reviewed ZMF's headphones which are much more expensive. Does it have anything to do with the Sennheiser split into 2 separate companies?

    Neumann NDH 30

Do you know why DMS/Golden Sound/Resolve/Chrono/Josh have never reviewed the NDH 30? On the big-tier list, the first 3 guys only give it a note, without further comment. I also remember that Zeos in his video mentioned that DMS brought his attention to those headphones. Considering how many...

    Neumann NDH 30

I laughed during reading your comment, because first thing my brain said while I saw the black version was "it's going to have more bass". Stopped for a sec and thought: "what just happened?".

Did any of you compare the black and silver version? Are there any sonic changes between them?

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus coming?

Did anyone try pads form 490 on 600 / 650? Do they fit? And more interestingly - does this matching work soundwise?
