634EARS: Impressions, Discussions, and Appreciations Thread
Getting anything is probably months away because I've spent too much money on gear and music recently, but how much is shipping to EU on average? Around 3-4k ¥? Trying to figure out how much I need for shipping + tax.- raibeli

Best IEM tips?
They don't really fit my ears in any size. I prefer the Sony EP-EX11 over them, they are slightly shorter and softer. Tho I've completely switched over to SMP iFit tips, Acoustune AEX70 and JVC Spiral Dot++. They just work for me, great consistent seal, incredible comfort and great sound.- raibeli

Symphonium Titan - Impressions and reviews
☝️🥸 Ackshually the AEX70 are made of SMP iFit. So it is more of a hybrid material than a pure silicone, a silicone compound if you will. And they truly are one of the best tips. I don't size up on them tho, but that makes sense for IEMs with shorter nozzles.- raibeli

Why would you need more power from a desktop amp/dac for IEMs? That's all 4.4mm out does. For ground loops and other noise there are surely better means to fix them before the analog out 🤔- raibeli

Finding the endgame (recommendations)
You should be fine with the dongle you have with those. Tho the impedance is kind of low on that set. I can't imagine there'd be a noticeable difference when streaming lossy content with a better dongle.- raibeli

Diminishing returns
I started out with chinese brands, but after a few QC disappointments I just abandoned that market. Didn't want to treat QC as a game of chance and the aftercare was bad aswell in those cases. YMMW 😅- raibeli

Diminishing returns
For me diminishing returns start when there is sound with enough headroom. After that it's just about personal preferences. I haven't tried an IEM more expensive than my Hybrid 3 Pro (700€), nor do i have an urge to. I started my journey with the intention to find "The One" I'd be satisfied...- raibeli

Personally for me, it doesn't make sense to assess technical performance of a transducer with electronic music. It's often too clean and every sound is where it's programmed. I feel like high quality recordings of acoustic instruments and vocals are more nuanced and not as "obvious". I do enjoy...- raibeli
