    So I have had my HD 800s and ran them against Utopia for a week now. Crazy saying this, but I really think the 800 S technically and in terms of enjoyment takes the cake. Extremely surprised by this, and not sure what to do with my Utopias now. May trade them.

    So, you think it's still a solid improvement over the E30 / THX 789 stack? Also its not tubed, so could it add the warmth needed for those 800 S cans lacking bass?

    I agree, warmth and bass is what I need. My CTH really isn't doing it for me, and worse, it has significant less clarity than the 789. I need something with a good injection of warmth that isn't going to break bank.

    Yeah I don't necessarily need portable. Just improved sound resolution and help with my 800 S low end. I also don't want to hold it back in anyway and let it shine the way it is meant to.

    Yeah. Great advice so far thank you. 2 Last questions. 1. Is Mojo 2 really that much of an upgrade over a Topping E20/THX 789 combo? 2. How about keeping my dac and using a Bottlehead Crack?

    Holy cow Sonic Frontier SFD-2 dac is still 2-3k range. I'm hoping for a reasonable mid to higher tear amp/dac setup for up to 1k. I suppose at that price point such a thing cannot be found?

    I'll be honest. I find the thx 789 and my topping e20 to be more than sufficient, the combo is under 300$ can anyone tell me any combos that knock this out of the water?

    A question. Do you think more individuals have switched from Focal Clear to HD 800 S or from 800 S to a Focal Clear? Also wondering if this is a big enough jump to make a trade.
