I use a intel NUC now, optical out to TT2. Beats my laptop via USB. NUCs are cheap - you should investigate, look for low power CPUs so the NUC is fanless.

I want to try connecting my speakers direct (Monitor Audio Silver 10, Sensitivity 90dB, nominal impedance 4 Ohms). Taking apart an old XLR plug I have red and black signal wires and earth. I simply solder speaker connections to the red/black posts yes? Just check before doing anything silly!

Cracking little speakers were the Celestion 3s. Had mine in use 18 yrs until my 8 yr old wanted to play Iron Maiden and not realising the amp took a few seconds to come on, cranked vol to the max and blew out the drivers, maybe didn't laugh at the time, but funny now.

Hi, having some trouble and wondered if any one else has the experience to help. Unit charges up and starts outputting sound. After a few second it then goes silent and displays P LO message (manual says this meams Power input has too low voltage) unit is plugged into the mains so can't...

In my experience ASIO driver, while sounding identical to WASPI, is prone to drops and stutters. Don't know why, CPU overhead maybe, but gave up worrying about it. Musicbee + WASPI is bitperfect so is all you need.

I remember folk here talking of replacement cables, but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm after a longer cable so I can sit in my comfy chair, at least 3m required, 4m may be better. Not after high cost custom jobs, just something fairly priced for good SQ - I don't want to sacrifice sound...

Two ways to do it. You can buy a RCA-headphone adaptor, which was what I did first to experiment - this was mine amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011SS0TVM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I then made up a headphone cable direct into RCA plugs to remove adaptor, relatively easy...

Thanks, I loved the Qutest, but made the mistake(?) of demoing the TT2 and then kept thinking about it, so finally took the plunge. Both are fabulous pieces of kit at their respective price points.
