DAC for IE800
I'm looking for recommendations on a good DAC to pair with the Sennheiser IE800 to get the most out of them. Using them right out of my MacBook pro (mid 2015 model) the highs sound a little harsh. I'm looking at the audioquest dragonfly red as an option though I note some reviews mention that...- PTom

IEM in $400 range
Hi guys, I've been away from these forums and the hobby for 3.5 years and don't own any headphones anymore! I want to finally get myself a good pair of IEMs. Though it has been a while I remember that I enjoyed the LCD 2's sound signature the best among the numerous headphones I used to own...- PTom

[HELP WITH FINAL DECISION] Sennheiser HD 600 vs Fidelio X1
I found the mid range of the HD600 to be superior and probably the highlight of the headphone. The mids of the X1 seemed a bit recessed IMO. I never tried to EQ the HD600, sure it lacked visceral bass and that's one of the reasons I don't own it any more but the bass is still present just not...- PTom

Schiit Owners Unite
Do people here generally buy expensive interconnects for the Gungnir/Mjolnir stack or just whatever is cheapest. Can you guys recommend something decent for me from Amazon UK? I'm not sure if I should go for the cheapest available. I don't want to be sacrificing on sound quality to save a few...- PTom

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I'm getting the itch to try the LCD 3. I get the feeling you'll also be on to the LCD 3 in no time. Is it me or do a lot of us at Head Fi have some kind of addiction, always looking for that new "high". I really need to delete my account......- PTom

Head Fi's Favourite Amp for the Audeze LCD 2: $200-$1000 [POLL]
That's out of the price range being considered. There two polls one for amps below $1000 and another for amps below $2000.- PTom

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Does Audeze recommend any particular amp for the LCD 2? Or is there a particular amp that they normally use to demo the LCD 2?- PTom

I think it's because they are both considered amongst the best headphones available and also the price is similar (at least in Europe, I guess in the US the LCD 2 might be noticeably cheaper).- PTom

Bamboo is lighter but I think rosewood looks better. Not sure about sonic effects, if any. For the HD 800 you should probably get a better amp from what I've read. Also from what I've read they are not very forgiving and also fatiguing so maybe not the best for casual listening. I don't have any...- PTom

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I don't think the LCD 2 sounds dark at least with the O2/ODAC. The only time I thought so was when comparing classical music with the T1 and the LCD 2. The warranty is 3 years and transferrable which is really good. The headphone seems sturdy but I've heard of issues with the wood...- PTom
