Update:   We'll I just picked up the DT 770 80 ohms.  I'm not sure how I feel.  The bass is not overwhelming, but it is more bass and a slightly warmer sound than the 598s.  I'm a little pissed because I bought them at guitar center, and I'm wondering if they are the floor model, because...

I was actually wondering if the V-Moda Crossfade 2 would be a good try?  They're like $175.

This are very clear, great headphones.  I do have 2 complaints.  One is they leak a ton, and two they are a little bass light. I have a week or so to decide if I can still keep these.  I'm wondering if there's a better pair of head phones that have more base, yet still have crystal clear sound...

The HD 598 leak a ton.  The sound good, and might be a little bass light, but clear and great sound stage.
