  Yes I have extracted C8 and C9. It doesn't need to be shorten - just extract capacitors. It makes big difference. I am not sure better grounding means just connection chip grounds to the resistor. I think it must be some more, but maybe not. Anyone knows?

There is no creaking like sounds. I have had something like that in my PX100 In the bottom parts of headbands when JVC has a screws,  sennheiser haven't had. Mayby it  cause some creaking sounds. Maybe it needs screw it stornger?   I will write my experiences with Fiio e5 and iphone 3g...
