Not in cohesion and timbre. EA500 LM whips Delci for detail and technicalities. But I'll take the Delci's tuning and timbre seven days per week. Absolutely zero listening fatigue, while the EA500 LM made me wince at least once nearly every track. My take on the EA500 LM is that Simgot's sound...

Delci absolutely more focused on sub-bass. But it's not exactly tight. Not flabby, but a bit soft? :) The sub-bass on the R1 is sufficient, but its low-end focuses more on mid-bass punch than sub-bass boom. And the quality of the R1 mid-bass is tighter and more tactile than the sub-bass on the...

No doubt. Bass is the one area in comparison with the Delci where I have no dilemma in declaring the R1 superior. The Delci is more focused on sub-bass and the R1 more on mid-bass. But the overall bass in the R1 has slightly better texture and control. Less bloat and bleed, although the bass on...

Thanks. Former journalist here. Have been a writer and editor in PR for 30+ years after I left journalism. Was taught in journalism school in the mid-80s to write bright and tight with no fluff!

Yes, the stock tips are pure dreck with the Delci. Aluminum build, very nice cable and case for $60. Corners clearly cut with the tips, which are quite flimsy. Doing more A/B testing right now with Delci and R1 -- still confounded! But the R1 may be taking a slight edge. I like the punch of...

I did, and you made the right call with the Delci. The Trio is an excellent set at $40, but the Delci is better in nearly every area. Only edge I can give the Trio is treble clarity, but that came at the expense of slight glare to me. The Delci has zippo top-end glare or sizzle.

Hell, I'd move into that cult compound. :)

Recommend the Delci if you want something warm with a sub-bass emphasis or the Artti R1 for warmth with mid-bass emphasis that's has slightly tighter bass overall than Delci. Stage a bit wider with Delci, but R1 has a smidge more treble air and detail. Delci has more note weight, but R1 isn't...

I recently tested the Trio, along with the Kefine Delci and the Artti R1. While the Trio can't stack up to the Delci or R1 (which are $60 each), it's excellent for a $40 set. At $20? Yeah, it's right there with -- if not better than -- the 7hZ Zero, Wan'er or Hola as the benchmarks at sub-$25...

Glad you dig! Yep, all excellent points by you. I have never been as confounded by testing an IEM or headphone as I am right now comparing the Delci to the Artti R1. Some days I prefer the Delci, others the R1. Some tracks and genres I prefer the R1, others the Delci. I only use frequency...

Yep. Eras have little to do with recording quality. So many rock albums have sounded like total garbage since the loudness wars infected studios in the early 90s, while Sir George Martin's Beatles' albums are impeccably recorded, mixed and mastered. And his son Giles' remasters of the Fab Four's...

Without question, especially since the "loudness wars" engulfed studios in the early 90s. Sadly, that trend still exists today. Take Oasis, for example. One of my Mount Rushmore bands. And every one of their studio albums sounds like rubbish. Terrible mixing and mastering.

The Delci and Artti R1 are about as good as it gets for $60 in our hobby, along with the Crinacle Red. And I still can't decide between the Delci and R1 despite a lot of A/B testing over the weekend. They're so similar. More sub-bass boom in Delci, more mid-bass punch in R1. Vocals more forward...

Video games, especially with nearly universal online gaming. Publishers and developers are releasing more and more games that are borderline unfinished and then fixing them with post-release patches.
