The LCD-2.1 and Phoenix combo has provided these ears with pleasure since 2010 and counting! Has anyone tried the Phoenix with speakers? If so, how has the Phoenix worked for that?

The 1988 CD of Joy Division's Closer is phenomenal - not only artitistically (obviously). Sound quality-wise, it's the best version of that album I've heard, on any format.

The Japan SACD of Black Sabbath's Paranoid is sublime. You can find an SACD rip of it - I recommend DSD playback for optimal sound quality, though purchasing a physical copy may break the bank, since it's a limited edition.

Is the Oppo BDP-103 able to transmit an I2S signal over HDMI?

From what I've read, the Oppo BDP-93 can playback native DSD only through its HDMI-1 port. Would I be able to transmit that data through an HDMI cable connected to the I2S HDMI input of my DAC. I do most of my listening through headphones so I'd like to listen to my SACDs through that medium...
