i have been to yodobashi is osaka just before the pandemic. It is the biggest gadget store in japan. They have a whole section dedicated to daps and headphones which you are free to try. As far as i remember, they have a demo unit for most DAPs. You could easily spend the whole day trying...

The dx160 is a perfectly fine DAP. And to be honest you can’t go wrong with any of the other DAP in that tier (hiby r5, m11, m5s). In my opinion, they are the best in class in terms of p2p and offers the best value.

I read somewhere that fiio uses a different config for its bal out port, like the ground is in a different position, and would need a bal cable specific for fiio. Is this true? Is there an industry standard for the bal out wiring for DAPs?
