DT990’s bass will slam your head into the wall :) They are much more exciting than 650’s. Also look into Beyerdynamic T90 — more refined sound than DT990, slightly less bass, more resolution.

Well...I returned them both and got myself Beyerdynamic T1. He-400 were imbalanced and chaotic, not refined at all. T90 were closer to my idea of perfect, but still a little dry. And T1...well, these I find absolutely perfect :)

I'll repeat myself — have you tried Grado GR-10? I find them very balanced and refined.
