Diagnosis for an active 2.1 speaker system?

My Question What is the actual problem with these speakers, and is it something that can be fixed? Please tell me streight if they're totally busted      Problem: Absent left stereo output / mono output only coming out one speaker (I don't really know)   I bought an old (2009) active 2.1...

Newbie: Are these headphones really the dogs bollocks? "£70" rrp -> £13!

They "sound" hunky dory but I'm sceptical...   Cede headphones: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLUETOOTH-2-1-WIRELESS-STEREO-HEADPHONES-HEADSET-WITH-MICROPHONE-FOR-IPHONE-IPOD-/400480271563?pt=UK_AudioVisualElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Headphones&hash=item5d3e7bfccb     What I'm listening through...

How powerful an amp do you need for 10" passive speakers?

Thanks, this all seems more complicated than I had anticipated.   err... just to clarify. If I want a speaker compatible with a smaller amp (say 12V, 25W), I want to be looking for speakers with a lower "sensitivity" or a higher "sensitivity" (in units of dB)?

Connecting stereo R/L output ---> 3.5mm headphone jack. Help?

Thanks.   My budget is whatever's right at the bottom of the line. I'm on a shoe string.   To clarify, the ps RCA line out seems to have enough output to drive my headphones to a reasonable degree (~50-60% what I get out of my laptop), but I can appreciate that's not what it's designed to...

Connecting stereo R/L output ---> 3.5mm headphone jack. Help?

Kind of? As I understand it you can't run passives through a headphone jack due to a lack of power (am I right?) but I don't see why you can't run headphones from a *passive amp*. Unless it's the case that it is comparable to hooking up a pocket calculator to it's own nuclear reactor (ie...

Connecting stereo R/L output ---> 3.5mm headphone jack. Help?

Hi, I'm new to all this so please forgive any idiocy on my part.      I got myself on old playstation 1 (scph-1002) with rca stereo jacks on the back. I connected these to some headphones via an adapter cable but the volume is too low.   So I'm thinking I want to get myself one of...
