Wow thanks for clarifying. I'm quite pleasantly surprised that the improved tips/fit are creating what I consider to be a sizable improvement in sound quality. What this means is that I wasn't getting all that great of a seal with the v1s and I didn't even realize it! Crazy.

My v2s sound quite a bit different (and BETTER) than my v1s. Maybe it's just my brain playing tricks on me, but I'm hearing things that cannot simply be explained by the wider holes in the tips or a more precise fit. A wider sound stage and more detailed instrument separation for starters...

BUMP! I think I mentioned in my original post that I'm using a pair of Earsonics SM3s. Please, post your IEM along with a screenshot of your curve.

I've been using the EQu app for a while now and find that it really can improve the sound I get from my iPhone4 + SM3 combo. Here's the custom EQ curve I made. I want to see other people's custom curves, too!
