this means audio (analog) wise the DCP-100 is identical to the Sony Z-555 Discman, viz 2x PCM66 and CXD2551 oversampling chip

Oversampling chip is Sony CXD2551M Line out amp is Mitsubishi 51568FP 2x PCM 66 DAC two dead spiders inside and watch out for the ball bearings when you take off the toplid, they can take your eyes out!

anyone know what NPC oversampling chip was used on the Denon DCP-100? It is 8-times according to the brochure, not legended to the front of the player as it is on the DCP-150.

hi, i just got an SL-XP5 and it is a superb CD player. Ultra, ultra loud 32mw into 32ohms and with that power it can power large cans, forget using small earphones on this unit. I do not know why people search on out the earlier XP7 as this unit as digital filters as opposed to the analog ones...
