Is there a big difference going from a Meier Concerto to a Burson Soloist?  

Microphonics isn't an issue since I use a shirt clip. I do like over the ears better but straight down isn't that bad either. I use Shure Olives tips also which help with comfort, isolation, and keeping them from falling out.   I'm not a bass head but for running an IEM with a lot of bass...

Is the old Astro Mixamp still the best thing to buy for the Xbox 360? I bought a Xbox on Black Friday and I need something for Dolby and chat processing. Doesn't matter about the amp on the mixamp since it will be plugged into my Meier Concerto to power my headphones. Thanks.

Why are some $270 and some $200?

Looking for Christmas a present. $200-300. Any thoughts? I know most come out of China, but do any of them keep stock stateside?

I saw that one but it is slightly out of the budget I had in mind. A few questions though. What gain option did you go with? How long did it take to ship to you? Do they ship from Asia or are they stocked somewhere in the US?

Not for me but for a friend. He has a Grado RS2 but it is only driven by his sound card and ipod. I would like to buy him a nice one in the $200 range. I can spend a little bit more if it is worth it. I would like to find an amp that sounds great with Grados but also good with other headphones...
