Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Not a very picky listener in terms of genre. I listen from movie scores to metal/rock to pop to electronics. Basically anything I am finding interesting at the moment. If you would ask me two most common genre for me, it would be rock and d&b, pop and movie scores would be tied at 3rd.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I don't mind it actually. In fact, when I switch to my LCD-2C, they sound a bit dull when compared to Aryas. I'd say that from what I have read (and watched), v2 sounds like the best match for me. I am considering Diana phi mostly because of FOMO. Since it is practically impossible to sell 2nd...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Hi guys. So, Finally Abyss is available in India via a local retailer. And I am planning to upgrade my Arya for one of the Dianas. I actually love the Aryas but the earcups are a bit too large and the lower side of pads rub my cheekbones which gets kinda irritating. I wear them for like 6-7...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

As an outside with no obvious biases I can see 2 major issues with the whole situation: 1. Abyss not having official data for their headphones. 2. Amir publishing his review without cross checking it with Abyss. For 1, I think a 3000 dollar headphone is not only a way to listen to music but...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I think then Diana phi might be better for my taste because it is a bit bigger sounding based on the reviews. Also I saw a comment of yours mentioning that Diana Phi has a stronger bass than Diana V2. I will try to save some more and go with Phi. Hopefully my SMSL stack is decent for it.

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I just love the Arya. I don't really mind the slightly sharper upper-mids of it. I do EQ in a bit more bass (around 4.5 db) and Arya takes it really well. Sound wise, I am not unhappy with it sound wise, in fact I really really like it. Instead I was looking for something lighter. I find myself...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

I have an SMSL SP200/M200 stack. I am not sure if it is good enough for Phi (or even V2) I am not only after bass quantity as I also have LCD-2C which have this impactful bass but I prefer Arya over them because of their holographic bass which surrounds you. Bass is the first thing which I...

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Hello guys, I am thinking about getting either diana v2 or diana phi. I read about them and watched some videos and found really different objective opinion about these. Some people said that diana v2 have an elevated low end with more oomph while some said that phi has better and stronger bass...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I think sound is a very subjective thing. An amount of punch which is low for me is maybe good for someone else. From my experience (I have been using these for like a month now) Arya reacts very well to EQ. You can very easily EQ it to your liking. I boost bass by around 3.5 db in bass region...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I don't have the HD800S to compare but I can tell that Arya are absolutely beautiful in games. It is wide and accurate (imaging wise) enough to pin point the footstep sounds. And at the same time, the atmosphere sounds really nice but distinct from the game sounds important for the player. I...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I have an SMSL SP200 and I also feel the same thing. It seems that Aryas are very much current hungry and their sounds becomes fuller and the bass becomes more punchy if you feed appropriate current. Using high gain on the SP200 does that thing for me. Initially I also thought that it was a...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

Yeah, my Arya squeaks like my chair. Although it never when I wearing them. It is mostly when I try to adjust them or removing them. How much power is usually sufficient? What are some amps which can provide the high current which Arya needs?

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I recently got the Arya. I wanted to get LCD-X but because of availability issues, I had to buy the Arya. I have been using these for like 10 days and I am quite impressed with these. When I switched from my HD 6XX to Arya, I didn't notice huge difference but now when I go back to the HD 6XX...

    Connecting speakers to headphone AMP.

I am a bit more concerned about that electrical difference. I am worried about things getting damaged. I guess I will wait for my DAC to arrive and till then I will just continue to swap cables to switch devices.

    Connecting speakers to headphone AMP.

I recently got an SMSL SP200 headphone AMP and right now I am using it with HD 6XX with an XLR cable. I also have an Edifier S350DB 2.1 speaker set. Now, I know that I don't need to power the speakers using some external amp (obviously not an headphone amp) as these set of speakers are already...
