Burn in question
When I got my 650's I was told to just use them normally, nothing special. Yes over time it will burn-in and sound quality will get better.- Nicker

MS1 vs HD595
I currently use the seni's 595. Very clear quailty and I used them for music/gaming. I first had them coming out of my old sound blaster card, then bought a total bithead usb (DAC + AMP in one), and the sound was much more clearer.- Nicker

PLUG-IN FOR GAMING
Got the modded xfi-elite pro here... for gaming it has 64megs of x-ram (basically has its own ram to use for gaming so the computer doesnt eat the needed ram for audio). Works great... and EAX 5.0 I believe.- Nicker

Hotrodding the X-Fi: A Layman's Guide (No 56k)
Thanks cotdt, everything was done pretty well, but I will check the continuity from the base of the blackgate to a differnt lead on the board, and it should work if the connection is okay on the board. It would not make a difference that I did only 3/4 opamp's, since I only use the 1 opamp...- Nicker

Hotrodding the X-Fi: A Layman's Guide (No 56k)
Ok so I did the opamps and the blackgate on my xfi elite pro. First impressions (using seni 595's right into the xfi box) is that my bass went missing (im guessing I need to burn in these electronics or get an amp to drive my headphones), but mid's and highs are more define. I am new to...- Nicker

Hd650/k701 Rig
Ever look into the ultrasone 2500's? I was stuck with either the 650's (I have the 595's right now), k701's and the 2500's. I like a little more bass and more specific sound, heard the 2500's were strong there so I am giving them a try.- Nicker

Hotrodding the X-Fi: A Layman's Guide (No 56k)
Anyone have any blackgates or ERS paper, seems to be harder to find for me. (paypal and in NY). I got the elite pro here and the gates, going to mod it all at once. Ill give some pictures for lost people like me that had to read this whole thread 3 times to understand.- Nicker
