Forgot to mention in the prior post that from what I’ve read/seen, the super charger supposedly refines the upper frequencies. Didn't validate myself as I’ve been inly using the supercharger but there appeared to be a consensus on how the supercharger improved the soloist sound.

I don't have any very expensive gear but the M19 driving HE1000SE fed by Ares II is probably the best sound I've ever heard. The sound and the tactile sensation of the volume knob while the M19 is on is really cool though.

Cant say for sure as I have never heard Bifrost II but the person who made the diagram (lycos) seems to think so. I can say the image is pretty accurate when comparing E30 and Ares II but it appears the D90SE is very similar to E30 win this regard.
