Definitely as my iems are planar and with edm, I prefer the speed and power that I get with ss balanced

As a rule.. UL... I like the wider soundstage and out of the two, I generally use that more but sometimes I like the closeness of triode and it is a more authentic tube sound whereas UL is kind of a hybrid

Jazz does sound good on the tubes... Certain classical pieces as well... Especially if it's something quite bare like a piano piece... It's also the quality of the recording that plays its part... Vinyl rips sound good on tubes and also... If you have bright headphones then it can take the edge...

It sounds like the fault is with your card. I use a 400gb sd card and transfer tracks directly to card and I haven't had any problems updating it on to my dap

The ultrasones I'm referring to are the signature studios.... They need a bit of power but not too hard to drive

Audio Concierge have it as well and that's where I got mine

You might want to look at fiio m11 pro as a good alternative that isn't too expensive

I've been using the rha cl2 and like p1s, they're planar... For me I've just been using the balanced output for that... With planars... Stick with clean raw power... My ultrasones however... They use the tubes but only with certain songs and genres

The sd card was from my last dap which broke... And that was the questyle qp2r which was a pretty high end dap... But I'm not missing it and feel very satisfied with cayin n3 pro

It takes about 5 mins to update an sd card and with me that's about 11000 tracks... Btw.. You can use hiby link to connect dap to. your phone and the ui on that is much more intuitive and really easy to use. This dap would be a bit awkward of it wasn't for the fact that hiby link makes life a...

My advice to you is to use the hiby link to connect to your phone. It's much more easier to find what you're after through your phone than the dap.

I find pairing with your phone saves you a lot of hassle as the controls on the phone are much easier to use
