You don't have to use a screw-on if you don't want to, you know?  You can just use a standard adapter.  That said, I was in J.B. Saunders last week and saw some of the screw-ons for a couple of bucks, I think.  Find an electronics supply store near you.  Because ten bucks is ten bucks, eh?  ...
