Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!
My HD800S arrived today. Just wanted to give a shout out to Jan from Meier Audio. Fabulous costumer service and he gave me a great price. Anyone who doesn't want to wait until they hit the US or wants to save some money (or both), shoot Jan an email. Highly recommended... I will add some...- monkeysixtysix

Marantz - HD-Amp1 (2016 Brand New DXD, DSD256 USB DAC)

A little background about my listing setup / habits. Living in an apartment in NYC, my headphone setup basically functions as...- monkeysixtysix

Need help with buying headphones
Yes, I think the Asus STX would be fine for the 650's! Good luck!- monkeysixtysix

Need help with buying headphones
I would consider either the HD600 or 650. They are considered classics for a reason and you can't go wrong with either. In my experience, they both have similar bass impact and extension, but the 650 is warmer sounding overall. Hope that helps.- monkeysixtysix

I had the same experience. Jan seems like a great guy to deal with though, and he gave me an unbelievable price on the HD800S.- monkeysixtysix

Audeze LCD-X
Charleston Cable Co makes a couple of different cables for less than $200. I've ordered from them a couple of times and always had good experiences. ELA Audio on ebay also makes great cables. I needed something a little longer than the stock cable, so I ordered a 10 ft cable from them for...- monkeysixtysix

Audeze LCD-X
I don't have a leather pair around to compare directly, so it is hard to say... But going from memory I would say it's a subtle difference at best. But the comfort improvement is for real and worth it imo.- monkeysixtysix

Audeze LCD-X
Funny story you guys might enjoy... Had a pair of X's a while back that I loved, mistakenly sold them wanting to try out another pair of high end 'phones. Regretted selling them almost immediately and have been looking for a replacement pair for the past few weeks. Saw a great deal on the For...- monkeysixtysix

Help me find an in-ear under $250
I would second the GR07 Bass Edition recommendation... I would also recommend the Senn IE80, goes for around $250 on Amazon these days.- monkeysixtysix

Looking for IEM's under 150$
+1. The GR07 is a great IEM, especially the bass edition... I much preferred it over the EPH-100.- monkeysixtysix
