AUDEZE LCD XC
Very different. The HD800's are known for having an open soundstage, comparable to speakers are a live event. In my opinion, the XC's have a "closed" and intimate soundstage. You know you're listening to a pair of headphones with them but that's okay because they kill at being what they are, a...- ModestMeowth

AUDEZE LCD XC
Yeah, warm isn't the word I'd use to describe them. However, I also own a pair of LCD-3's which are known to be warm like nacho cheese. It took a few weeks for my ears to break into the different sound of the XC's—they were bright and harsh. A quick call to Audeze is all it took as they...- ModestMeowth

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
Bluetooth Cipher: has anyone experienced low volumes when connected to a MacBook? My system volume is maxed and it's about as loud as the halfway mark of the wired Cipher v2.- ModestMeowth

AUDEZE LCD XC
Worst pair of headphones... for the first month. After their first full moon they transform into something beautiful. You can't expect the dark velvety sound from them as you would from a pair of LCD-2 or 3's. They're neutral and a slightly recessed midrange.- ModestMeowth

I personally wouldn't be able to trust anything said in that review link. The article starts off talking about the XC's having bubinga cups then halfway down the article says they're rosewood...- ModestMeowth

AUDEZE LCD XC
This may be an unpopular opinion, but saying that the XC's are supposed to sound a way is a little ridiculous. I don't believe that Audeze is using your recommended $800 cable to tune their drivers and headphones before sending them out with a cable that's lessening the sound quality. Use...- ModestMeowth

AUDEZE LCD XC
I've had mine for just over a month and I feel the same way. Audeze claims that they put all of their headphones through a 24 hours burn in period which should mean that they don't require any more. But, I believe burn in with headphones is similar to that of breaking in an engine—there needs to...- ModestMeowth

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
I must say, the spiral dot tips are amazing. I'm suspecting that they don't fit as they were intended since the dots get covered by the barrel. However, even with that being the case they work beautifully. They come in a 3 pack from Amazon and I only need two, if someone wants to Venmo/PayPal...- ModestMeowth

This is probably a silly question, but what should my Midi output setting be on a MacBook? I'm streaming highest quality from Spotify, and YouTube if it matters.- ModestMeowth

Bass boost works. What I more meant to mean was that in Normal mode the headphones work and get to good volume. However, when Turbo is turned on, the headphones feel like they're getting the power they want to push the bass harder. In simpler words, the headphones feel like they aren't getting...- ModestMeowth

You're probably right with that Turbo isn't necessary. I was under the impression that planar headphones required more watts so I thought Turbo would be the best option. Normal definitely works, I just noticed that the bass is much better in Turbo.- ModestMeowth

I thought I had an understanding of Ohms law but I could be completely wrong. Care to explain how headphones of two different Ohms, one high and one low, would be at the same spot on the volume knob? I tend to listen to both on Turbo mode with the dial at 10 o'clock.- ModestMeowth

That's what I thought, however, both my XC and 3's go to the same spot on the volume knob. Which seems off to me.- ModestMeowth
