Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread

just a note. I received the t90s about a week ago. I can only say that their sound signature has changed radically over the first  100  hours of usage and burn in. Burn in may be a figment of the imagination or user adaptation but i gotta say that  this phone went from unbearably bright to the...

Advice needed to get the most out of my Sennheiser HD600s

Woo audioWA2 with upgraded stephen arts  audio  aftermarket cable has taken the hd600s to sound as good as any headphone I have heard.

    HifiMAN HE-6 Planar Magnetic Headphone

Not to sound dumb but who or where can I buy headphone to speaker cables for the HE6 phones?

    Woo or Mapletree?

the mapletree is really good with the HE 5 headphone which is really hard to drive; MY woo wa6 with the sophia starts to break up at loud listening levels. The mapletree amazed me.

    Which amp should I get : WA6 - Mapletree Ear+HD - Decware Zen Select CSP-2

The mapletree amp is wonderful for grados and very good for the 701's. The wa6 sounds better with the hd600's. The wa6 also sounds very good with the 701's and the grados. I never had the decware amp.

    Vincent KHV-1 any good ? Or WA6....

I had the Vincent. I still own the wa6. Clearly a better amp in my opinion for all the phones I have. The Vincent was not nearly as musical as the Woo audio is; in my opinion.

    Amp for HD650, $600, suggestions?

The Channel Islands Audio amp is a great match for the Senns and is well under budget. It is a little warmer and richer than the Slee Solo. The woo audio 6 is ideal if tubes float your boat.

Warmest sounding SET class-A TC amp - wooaudio?

I have the original Woo 6 and tried the Doge. While it was very good the Woo provided a more relaxed yet equally detailed sound for the "hot" sounding DT 880's.

Little Dot MK IV SE vs Woo Audio WA6

I voted to keep the Woo 6 and send back the LD. I felt the Woo was slightly more refined, musical and transparent than the LD. That is my opinion with the Senn 600's', the Grados and the AKG 701's. However the differences were minor, the LD being rather a bargain for the price.

    Doge 6210

I had the good fortune of listening to a new Doge 6210 from Pacific Valves. I listened long and hard to this amp and came away with the impression that this is a wonderful sounding tubilicious amp. It does not get the press it deserves. It went toe to toe with my Woo Audio 6 and it was a draw...

Little Dot MK IV SE vs Woo Audio WA6

I have a LD MK IV SE on order. I have owned the stock Woo 6 for a while. I will make a comparison as soon as the Little Dot arrives. I will compare on hd 600's, akg701's and beyers. I hope the Little Dot OTL is better than my ASL MG HEAD MK 2.
