Hifiman Edition XS Launched
I'm telling you this is simply the best pair of headphones you can get for 500 to even 800$. Paired with a good DAC/Amp it's a very good choice. When it comes to soundstage, it's not so wide it sounds artificial but it's very wide. Very detailed. The comfort is a bit off (at least for me) but I...- MFire

Get LDAC on Windows with this driver here . Makes a HUGE difference in sq. It's not free - 5.99$ for 1 PC then 1.99$ for any other PC. It's worth it imo.- MFire

These were also greatly recommended here and work great with the XM4 : AZLA SednaEarfit Crystal ; Also the JVC Spiral Dots were recommended though they are a little expensive.- MFire

This headphones are tuned so that LDAC doesn't make such a difference compared to AAC. But on other Bluetooth headphones LDAC make a HUGE difference.- MFire

I don't see the problem. Also have Spinfit CP360, also use the large size. I like the sound - these + EQ = Awesome sound. I agree - the stock tips are awful. The CP360 reduce about 20% the NC but it's ok 'cause they are very comfortable.- MFire

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
I must say though I mostly use wired IEMs the XM4 surprised me how good it is. LDAC sound quality then apply (either by way of wavelet or poweramp eq) this neutral eq (AutoEQ) and all is surprisingly good.- MFire

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
Have Xperia 5 II and tested (and returned very fast) the KA3. The sound from the Xperia is very accurate, detailed, neutral and great separation. However the depth is very much lacking but it's not a dedicated DAC. The KA3 sound fairs worse than that on the Xperia. A true upgrade sound quality...- MFire

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
So the Rog Clavis sounds ok when playback is done by way of UAPP . The app for it (Asus Armory Crate) does not work so one has to rely on UAPP for adjusting the hardware volume and corect playback. Without it there is an obvious channel imbalance. The soundstage is not fairly wide but the...- MFire
