Final update. Happy ending. All is well. No shock No overheat long listening Schiit was great. Very responsive, quick crap, etc. Been over a month and zero issues. The switching between the ipad and pc with the usb switch is great as well. Big thanks to all again. I love open backs now...

So, I've had my new amp/dac for 1 day now. No static shocks, no overheating (but I did elevate it off table and have a fan running on it). Been listening for over 3 hours, no tics, no drops. used on the ipad and pc. Hopefully a good story. Schiit has been good through all of it.

Yeah. They have been pretty prompt and gave me a label for a return/exchange.

So, it is getting really bad. Used to be 4 hours, now it is like 3-10 min and it won't even play. :frowning2: Contacted Schitt support again with all the various setups I have completed. And "yes" to @earmonger, room is well ventilated with nothing close to amp. Edit: Headphones are fine...

They replied pointing me to their website saying I need to move my wifi router, change usb cables, etc. It is occurring on 4 devices.... PC, MBP, ipad and old mac book I have. :frowning2: But only after a long sessions...

So, I've had 2 long listening sessions now. I'm getting skipping/stuttering after 4+ hours of listening (typical for my work, not high volume, just casual). I've contacted Schiit, awaiting reply.

So, I might be taking this back. I need to do more tests, but the amp started to act "funny" after a very long listening session. I'll reserve judgement until I can replicate. It was still not what I'd call HOT, but I did notice some odd behavior.

Do you have a safe source to download a DSD? I'm hesitant to download free stuff. Always a malware. http://www.2l.no/hires/ ?
