So is it correct to assume that a 2-way IEM is basically 2 same drivers, 1 with a cap in series to cut out bass frequencies and the other with a filter in front to dampen the high frequencies? What variable is tweaked as the driver count goes up? Different filters? Trying to wrap my head...- meraj.salek

Pdupiano, I've been thinking along the same lines... I thought all these drivers were designed to be hooked up directly. The levels these are to operate at is no where near that of loudspeaker tweeters...hmmm Also, wouldn't driver mis-match and interaction have an effect on the sound? While...- meraj.salek
