Cowon PLENUE M2 (Current Firmware and Manual Links in 1st post)
So they put the Plenue M in a new body and called it a new product? Weak. Give it real battery life and I'd consider it.- marlin29311

1. Not sure, but I would assume so. It's one of the first things you do when you boot up the first time. 2. Power output is definitely stronger than the J3. I anecdotally can see that when I use my cans, I do not have to go as high as I did with the J3 (on the J3 I would be anywhere 35 to...- marlin29311

Sleep mode definitely eats battery way too fast. I did not use my DAP for about 3 days and noticed that I lost nearly 1/2 of my battery life, not even using it! I've turned it off for now. Annoying as well, since I hate having to do the database update every time I turn the thing on.- marlin29311

Not sure why you're thinking that...sure there is a lot of discussion about using the EQ and BBE settings, but it's certainly not necessary. All Cowon players sounds fantastic from a flat standpoint, it's just that they do such a great job with the EQ and BBE settings that there is a lot of...- marlin29311

No, it unfortunately does not. Audio components are incredibly cheap these days - can you guess how much the DAC in the Plenue M costs? I'll tell you - $6.53! How much does the DAC in the D cost? $11! Cost vs quality does not equate, and while I agree there are some features that are...- marlin29311

On my J3, I used to listed to my Sony MDR-1A's at around 35 or so, and with the Plenue D, I don't ever need to push it to over 60, so there is plenty of headroom IMO.- marlin29311

Sony MDR-1A - Sony's latest update on the 1R
Not sure why you wouldn't. I just listened to Tchaikovsky's 6th last night and it was fantastic on the 1A's.- marlin29311

Can't say it's happened to me, but I know that in the past my J3's battery meter was never right - I could go for a long time on "empty". Try a full charge and discharge cycle and see what happens.- marlin29311

Windows does not allow you to format into FAT32 - you must use a separate program to do so. Download GUIFormat, it will allow you to format in FAT32.- marlin29311

Special number format? All my music is labeled "01 - 1st song, 02 - 2nd song" etc, and I have no issues. There are lots of players that have this same issue (my car included in that). It's not overly hard to add a "0" to the front of any song that's single digits. Outside of that, how is it...- marlin29311

I see the new firmware isn't posted to the global site, but only the Korean site right now - if you install it, will you be able to use English?- marlin29311
