    Random temporary hearing loss?

It happens to me a couple of times a month. A few years ago I would listen to music at unsafe levels, but for the past several I am very carefull about what I expose my ears to (wear earplugs while mowing the lawn and such). It just kind of hits me when I am sitting in class or at my computer...

    Durable IEMs for gym, studying

Well, I'm pretty sure your ear canals don't sweat. http://www.westone.com/music/perspiration.html Go there, it describes how to use IEM's while you are sweating, and what precautions to take.

    The Westone UM1/UM2 Appreciation Thread

Another extremely happy westone customer, I've had the UM1's for a couple of days now and after getting a good seal and depth(took about half an hour but its like riding a bike, get it once and its easy) plus just a touch of EQing they sound great. Now I just have to keep myself from hearing any...

    2+ Gig Player W/Ogg Support?

I have a 2gb iAudio g3 and it supports OGG. I think they stopped support for the G3. Edit: Dont let that scare you away from it though, its a great little player with tons of battery life.

    Ear Popping

Well, I always thought it was just me, but I guess not. Ever since a plane trip I took 2 years ago it seems like the pressure has never equalized in my ears. Most of the time I'm fine but when I think about it, it can annoy me to no end for several hours straight. Its become a habit of mine...

Thanks for that picture, looks like a great low profile low cost IEM option. I may have to get myself a pair .

Pictures of your portable rig- Part III of the infinite trilogy

Music used to just be something to listen to in the car, while I was doing homework, or sitting around bored at a track meet. But I find that Head-fi has really opened me up and let me enjoy my music. I think the update in my gear (previously sony mdr-v300 with onboard sound on my computer) and...

    USB or internal sound card

For the past year or so I've been using a logitech headset for my computer, and it had a built in soundcard(a not so great one, but it was fine for my uses). Well, now the right headphone driver no longer works and I'm stuck with onboard sound, which, compared to the cheap soundcard built into...
