It happens to me a couple of times a month. A few years ago I would listen to music at unsafe levels, but for the past several I am very carefull about what I expose my ears to (wear earplugs while mowing the lawn and such). It just kind of hits me when I am sitting in class or at my computer...

Bought myself a pair of UM1's on thursday, set to arrive on monday or tuesday. Head-fi will be the end of me .

I have a 2gb iAudio g3 and it supports OGG. I think they stopped support for the G3. Edit: Dont let that scare you away from it though, its a great little player with tons of battery life.

Well, I always thought it was just me, but I guess not. Ever since a plane trip I took 2 years ago it seems like the pressure has never equalized in my ears. Most of the time I'm fine but when I think about it, it can annoy me to no end for several hours straight. Its become a habit of mine...

Thanks a lot for the replies, I think I'm going to go the iAudio G3 2gb route with the shure E3c's after your reccomendations. Hope to stick around and hopefully contribute something to this community someday.
