Best Earphones which do not require an amp? WIll be driven by an iPod.

Sorry, I never had the chance to listen to the Brainwavz M2 so I can't compare . but the PL50 (BA) is far superior to the PL30 (Dynamic Driver) and for less than 60$ it's hard to beat.

Best Earphones which do not require an amp? WIll be driven by an iPod.

Ety hf2/3/5... (150$) klipsch custom 3 (Really bad cable) (100$) SoundMAGIC PL50 (50$) UE10 (I guess, I know that the UE5pro was very nice on my classic)- but probably not the most Rugged !!   Do not buy PFE022 (I was unable to drive it from my iphone4) and Q-Jays is also hard to...

    iem with iphone 4

I'm using my Ety HF2 (the HF3 have the full ipod remote), very nice on Iphone4 (not like PFE, that were to hard to drive properly). But might not be the best for Hip hop... but phenomenal for unpluged/indie/folk...

A couple question's about the Phonak Perfect Bass. Also searching for next iem.

I had the PFE perfect bass, but I send it back and end up with some HF2. The sound was OK but they were very hard to drive, with my iPhone4 or iPod 5.5 ! (Something that I didn’t saw in the many review that I read) My guess is that the new filter is blocking so much of the mids and high to...

Upgrade from Klipsch Custom 3 (less than $150)

Tuan, I'm not a fan of house music, but in your list, the only thing I could relate to is Daft Punk. And it's never been that fun and involving with my HF3 (like it use to be with my 5Pro or Custom3 (or Koss ProtaPro !)).   So I would say the Ety's are really not made for Electro/House...

Upgrade from Klipsch Custom 3 (less than $150)

Hi,   I was in the same boat ! I broke my loved (sound wise) Custom 3. My first IEM was a UE5pro, great phone, fun but bulky and wont stay put... (so a downgrade, I think)   I had a PFE perfect base, but return it because I was unable to drive it with my iPhone4 unamped (it'll probably...

AKG Q460 anyone have experience with them?

You are right "shnitz", but it was bought through a authorized AKG dealer.   But my point is that its seems that AKG have problems with there cables (in the K450 and now with the Q460). I don't find that acceptable on 150$ cans !   Sound wise, those are 70$ headphone max (if...

AKG Q460 anyone have experience with them?

Got mine for a couple of weeks now. Sound is good (not great) but the inline-remote is already dead !!!!   AKG customer support is not very "supportive", and it seems I will have difficulties getting a replacement (I'm in Canada and I bought it in the States)!
