Like I said to another user, I would prefer to go with the edition XS if i were to choose HiFi Man I considered them, but every one describes them as "sparkly", too much treble might certainly be annoying for long listening sessions.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm avoiding the 8xx, as they don't seem to fit the sound signature im looking for, acording to the multiple reviews on forums and videos.

I understand, as this has been my experience with sennheiser so far*, they look cheap, but are very sturdy and durable. And I like the 5xx/6xx sound signature. I will consider the pair, but it's not in the top of my list for now.

Thanks for the suggestions! I was really taking interest in the og Clear's, but then I read about the driver clipping issue, and the expensive replacement ear cups. Would these pair last for more than a couple of years, taking those factors in consideration?

Would that really be the best I can get for the money? I was thinking about the edition XS + some decent DAC/AMP combo if I were to go with HiFiMan's.
