Aluminium (i.e. one of the softest metals) is much easier to machine than titanium (one of the hardest metals). I am not saying that Bob didnt exaggerate, just dont think that comparison with aluminium is fair here.- Luge

Well I am not sure about that. It would make sense due to the price difference but I have never seen any exact statement what is really different between the two. Also, it may not make sense for Onkyo/Pioneer to make two only slightly different DAPs as the costs of mass production of one...- Luge

I found a spec sheet / promo leaflet for the Pioneer XDP-30R here: http://www.pioneer-audiovisual.eu/sites/default/files/datasheets/english/XDP-30R.pdf I did not find any mention of USB audio out but the Tidal support seems like a sure thing.- Luge
