    KORN - Unplugged

Personally, I really like Korn, but I thought this album was awful. In fact, I'll say it's probably the worst album I've heard this year. On the other hand, I appreciate their attempt, but I doubt we'll be hearing another unplugged album from them ever again.

Does Vista "take over" your sound card?

Apparently vista doesn't have hardware accelerated audio: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...1931917,00.asp Just a quick browse, haven't had time to research this more.

Dual Core MP3/MP4 players (Teclast T29), any good?

How would you think SQ would differ? The Telechips + Wolfson DAC are (according to most on Head-fi) very good. Also I don't really care for space, as I usually change my music everyday. (Just need enough for 2 hours of music)

Dual Core MP3/MP4 players (Teclast T29), any good?

The C280 on the front-page (http://www.teclasters.com/index.php) looks very nice indeed. Should come out this month: here is the spec: http://www.teclasters.com/showthread.php?t=152. Looks like my first choice for DAP! Also looks like they seem pretty reliable, releasing firmware updates when...

How do i know what dB i'm listining to.

Well I just bought a sound meter of amazon as stories of ear damaged scared me a bit lately http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sound-Level-...3550106&sr=8-1 I'll post a summary of how well it works when i receive it. EDIT: there are no applications that will tell you the actual volume coming out of...

    Hd595 Crackle (not grattle)

OK, this is wierd.... I tried the music with KSC75s I just got, and the crackling is still there. Seems to me like this this crackling is due to the quality of my music. But then again this crackling happens with flac lossless files? Looks like I'll need to go whip out the few CDs I have.

    Hd595 Crackle (not grattle)

Well I received my first audiophile Headphones ever; hd595s a week ago, and since then they have really grown on me (wasn't really that impressed originally TBH) either because of break-in, or because my ears have become accustomed to them. I also spoilt myself and bought an x-fi xtrememusic to...

X-fi Xtrememusic vs X fi Elite PRO vs micro DAC...

Well as for Xtreme Music vs Elite Pro; unless you need the extra I/O module go for the Xtreme Music. The cards are physically the same (apart from the 64mb extra x-ram which only 1-2 games support [increasing fps VERY slightly] and does ***** all for everything else)

Some advice for first time Headphone buyers

I'll make it simple: DON'T USE SUPER SAVER DELIVERY! Why? It's because you'll die of anticipation (as I am now!) and regret having to wait an extra 4 days to save a few quid; in which time you will be browsing head-fi anyway, trying do reassure yourself you made the right choice. AHHH...
