Buying Earpads, where to look?
I recently bought some earpads from amazon and there is quite a vast selection even when staying in a given brand/model. Most are Chinese copies. Many of them had diagrams with measurements available(similar to your diagram). I guess you will need to randomly look into many of them until you...- LIos

Replacement for W01G bridge rectifier in AMB Sigma25 design
Hi MisterX and thank you for your reply. About the snubber caps, I do not know where I should use them in this situation. Should I add them as parts of the bridge rectifier or replace some of the regular capacitors in the circuit by them ? Also, what values would be appropriate ? thanks...- LIos

Replacement for W01G bridge rectifier in AMB Sigma25 design
Hi all, Let me start by saying that I am a complete beginner at DIY audio... I am in the process to start building the Sigma25 regulated power supply in it's 24V version for a load of 0.5A on a breadboard. Being from far up north where we pay in Canadian pesos, I get ripped off solidly...- LIos

I'm wondering the same thing...Will I hear a significant difference with the D1 that is almost double the price of the E10k when used only with headphones ? In my case it's with Beyers dt-250 (250 Ohm version)- LIos

Softskin or leather earpads for Beyerdynamic dt-250
Hi everyone, I purchased the dt-250 and they came with the velour earpad. I would like to order the softskins ones for improved ambient noise isolation at work. It seems the Beyerdynamic website only offer replacement for the velour version (part num. EDT-250v). Anybody has a link or...- LIos

Back-Electret/STAX
Just wanted to add some info about toshiba HR-810. I scored a pair yesterday at a thrift store for 4$. The leather on the headband is worn out quite a bit and the earpads are a little "under inflated" if I can say...nothing abnormal for 30ish years old head-phones. Other than these issues...- LIos

REVIEW: Audiotailor “Jade” Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier
been listening to mine for over 2 months now, from a audigy2 zs and with the stock tubes. Even with those less than ideal factor, I find it sounds absolutely awesome. I installed the cage at first, but i removed it after a few days. I find it looks better without it. The cage that came with mine...- LIos

REVIEW: Audiotailor “Jade” Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier
@ Hz_joe, Is it OK if I listen using both output at the same time ? I sometime listen to music with my brother and being able to use both simultaneously would be very practical. I would use it with a 32ohm headphone in one and 250ohm in the other. thanks- LIos

REVIEW: Audiotailor “Jade” Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier
Can't wait to receive mine :/ It has been stuck at the Canadian customs for like 4 days now. So sad when you think it took barely 24h to get from Hong Kong to 500Km away from my home. I was considering the DT880/600 to go with it in a very near future. Will appreciate getting your opinion...- LIos
