I have these, and I can say, they are some wonderful balanced amateurs! They sound so good I can't even tell the difference between these and balanced armatures. In all seriousness though, this is a wonderful sounding IEM.

Can you hear a difference with the Keses?

True, but if you are going to spend THAT much on a headphone system already, it seems silly to not have the DAC to bring out the best of the system. Either dive in, or stay out of the water!
