Albums That You'd Recommend
I recommend Chulahoma by The Black Keys to anyone who will listen to me. A great gateway drug into the Hill Country blues scene. Came out in 2006 and I believe it was their last one for the Fat Possum label. Vinyl. Awesome cover as well.- LearnedHand

Why can Mick Jagger sing well no more?
I haven't really concentrated on their live stuff, at least the recent performances. But his singing on the Exile reissues was pretty damn good, in my opinion. Can't really get that tone from the 70's back, but dude's got some good pipes for a geezer.- LearnedHand

To mod or not to mod
I played around with the tape mod and the radio shack mod. Not sure I heard anything discernably different with the shack mod, but I think the tape mod added a little oomph to the 225's. I was too much of a wimp to actually start playing in the guts.- LearnedHand

Rega Brio and Headphones
Just wanted to post an update. This little end around worked, thanks so much for the advice dude. Spent a long while (on these boards) agonizing over headphones and ended up going with some Grado 225i's I found for sale on the forum. The Little Dot 1+ showed up today from the East and it works...- LearnedHand

Grado BASSHEAD Mod....
Not sure if anyone addressed this already. I just got the 225i's, and found this thread reading up on mods. Sounded good to me, went off and got some electrical tape but then read that it leaves a crappy residue if you decided to take them off. If you want to avoid that, like I did, try this...- LearnedHand

Noob Trying To Decide On Sub $200 Headphones
Thanks for the responses. In my nascent research I've heard that the Grado's are a bit uncomfortable. Is that true? If so does it outweigh the benefits? And what are these mods you speak of?- LearnedHand

Noob Trying To Decide On Sub $200 Headphones
Hey All, I have been reading through old posts here for a few days now and just had a few questions. Seems that whenever I am making a decision and using boards with advice from those more knowledgeable than me the decision actually gets more difficult to make. I feel like a monkey...- LearnedHand

Rega Brio and Headphones
Thanks for the reply. I really do like the Brio, not that I have much to compare it to. But it is very nice. So by connecting the headphone amp to the tape out jack, I could play my records or listen to the system when I'm using it for tv/movies through the headphones? If it's that easy then...- LearnedHand
