Try better tips?

3x better than the N3? Gonna need something to back up those claims

Did you get some wide bore tips? Also be prepared to burn them in a bit.

Any with a mic?

Additionally, I find that wearing the N3 over ear brings back some of the bass that the wide bore tips lessened without damaging the rest of the spectrum! Man I love these things. Cable microphonics are awful though, I don't want to spend a ton money on a new cable.

Are you able to connect the cable for the right bud into the left and see whether that works? If it does then you need a new cable
