White noise is considerable. I haven't compared white noise with that in X5, but drawing from memory I reckon the white noise is greater with HD30GA9. ** Actually whitenoise has been significantly improved with the GA9 version

Just curious if headphones should be plugged in correctly to fix the polarity of the sound? eg negative and postitive wiring. I have a pair of senn hd25s and as the cable can be removed and flipped around, im not sure if this will effect the sound?

Indeed they do, the stock ones are pretty flat and the tacky leather material layered over them dont do them any justice. I got the senn valour pads, which is an optional accessory. They are a firmer than the stock ones, and much better for longer periods, plus they will not get your ears hot...

just wondering if i can revive my old senn px200 headphones they have broken right down where the cable meets the jack ive cut the wire and each wire has 2 copper like cables in it how hard would this be to fixed yourself if i was to get a stereo plug?

i suggest you go for the GA9 not the 7 it has many more improvments than this model, white noise limiting being the most improved. I am hanging out for the GA9 but it never seems to come if i cant hunt it down by end jan im going with the creative microphoto
