3.5mm headphones/earbuds with short cords?
Sennheiser OMX 680. They have a 60 cm cable + 60 cm extension (look at the technical data): http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_sport-line_504042 Hope this helps Regards K.- kurtzi

Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIV]
Every outer part of the earbud is removable (rings, air cushon and even those earfins), so they can be adjusted to be very small or very large. If she does not like the earfins or if she finds them to be unfconfortable (they are quite soft) She can remove them and wear the earphones as standard...- kurtzi

Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIV]
To my ears they sound nice. Compared to the cheaper mx470/471 they sound cleaner, with better and tighter bass and they are more balanced overall sound even if not EQed . They don't have the same level of instrument separation and clarity of AKG K319, but they punch more and have a fuller...- kurtzi

Advice for non-audiophile
Plain technical specs are nothing to worry about, for the most part they are useless for understanding how a headphone sounds. If you are going to use them in the streets/subway, i suggest you something closed... AKG K518DJ, Senn PX200-II could do a good job for your needs. Cheers K.- kurtzi

Bad headphones...
JVC HA-S350. They are three times the price of their little brothers S150 (great value headphones!), but they just sound muffled and nothing else. Not bad as Sony V150, but almost there.... Regards K.- kurtzi

Budget Phones?
Quote: If I remember correctly the KSC75 should have the same portaPro drivers, but titanium coated. I have both, but mostly use the Portas. I prefer their fit (i'm not too much into clip-ons) and their sound, so my reccomendation is for the portaPro. I still like them more than both...- kurtzi

Sennheiser PX 100-II Review (Pics)
At 95% of my music time I listen to hard & heavy, from Deep Purple to death metal and almost everything in between. Different tastes are maybe one of the first reasons that can make we like a headphone or not. By "dark" sounding I mean that balance is tuned towards the low side of the...- kurtzi

Sennheiser PX 100-II Review (Pics)
I have these from six months now... And I was never really able to appreciate them: to my ears they sound dark, bassy, with thick, fat mids and distant trebles. worst than old PX100. After reading your review I decided to give them a second chance. Listening to them "flat" i could not...- kurtzi

REVIEW: A Novice's Take on Sennheiser's MX580
"Relatively" is just the right word to use. If your girlfriend is used to a lot of bass I think she could find these lacking in the lows. But they sure have more bass than the 470 and tighter and than my old 460. If you have the opportunity to EQ the bass just a tad this could help. On certain...- kurtzi

REVIEW: A Novice's Take on Sennheiser's MX580
I'm sorry mitkoo, but I've never tried the PK3, so I'm not able to do any comparison. In the last couple of years I've been using almost only IEMs or full size for portable, so I'm not much more into earbuds. The last ones I've used regularly were the MX460 (and some cheap Philips color buds)...- kurtzi

put px200 ear pads on koss porta pro
With closed-like pads they will still be open back headphones and not closed back. But you can maybe have some success about sound impact. Check this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/277487/taking-koss-portapro-to-the-limit-cool-mods Hope this helps My Regards K.- kurtzi

Took a chance on K430, glad I did!
They are not really bad, only they were maybe not what I was really looking for. Me too was coming from PX100, at first I liked the 420 for their crisp trebles, but I've found them to be fatiguing after a while and never been able to find the right listening volume. Time did not solved this...- kurtzi
