    They are much much better than those. You can go through some of the reviews here on head-fi if you are interested. Anyway I do not have earbud experience other then zen 2. But in my ears they are in the same class of Sennheiser hd600 and maybe even better in some areas.

    Nice review. Did you try VE Zen 2.0? It has warmish sound signature but beautiful tonality.

    I have 3 pairs- Mullard, Yugoslovia and Voshkod. Mullard is the most warm and Voshkod is the least warm. Because the tube sound is always warm, I like the Voshkod most. Yugoslovia is also very good. I use it with my mkiii and HD600.

    I need to try kz tips then. But one thing with the deep insertion is it blocks the inner port and hence elevates the sub bass too much. That is why I always keep little distance between the concha and iem to reduce the sub bass.
